Raphaël Zarka, “Form Archaelogist”

Until 14th March, Raphaël Zarka’s work will be exhibited at Portique (Havre). The "Suite Gnomonique" exhibition sees the artist "become a form archaeologist, attached to the figure of the rhombicuboctahedron (polyhedron composed of eight triangular faces and 18 square faces)," the regional centre for contemporary art in Le Havre explains.

In this exhibition, Raphaël Zarka, Art foundation teacher, questions forms and geometry and produces objects borrowed from mathematical, scientific or pictorial experiences.

"Suite Gnomonique" follows on from the "Gnomonica" exhibition presented in 2019 at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Bucharest.
