Animation degree course: discover the composition of the examination panel

On Thursday, 6th June, 11 animation professionals will audition and assess the students on the animation degree course.

The composition of the examination panel

After three years of intense and rewarding study, animation degree students are preparing to complete their studies. And the final stage is the examination panel—a compulsory step during which the student will present a film made over the course of the year to animation professionals.

This year, the jury is composed of 11 leading figures including studio directors, film directors and producers, among others. For the first final year students, the teaching team of the degree course has selected demanding and recognised professionals in their field:

Joseph Jacquet - R&D animation programme manager France TV

Eric Reginaud - director, Ciclic Animation

Cécile Hergaux - studio director, Cube

Brigitte Pardo - co-producer, head of short films, Canal+

Augusto Zanovello - director animator producer, Kamadji

Emmanuel Alain Raynal - producer, Miyu

Nidia Santiago - producer, Ikky Films

Nicolas Deveaux - director 3-D animator, Cube

Didier Brunner - producer, Folivari

Corinne Destombes - development manager, Studio Folimage

Céline Gobinet -  storyboarder

As members of the examination panel, the 11 professionals will judge, evaluate and determine the students’ level alongside their ability to make a film.

At the end of this exam, and if they succeed in their presentation, the students will be awarded the "Writer and director in animated cinema" qualification delivered by the animation degree course at Atelier de Sèvres.

Becoming a writer-director

Since 2016, Atelier de Sèvres has offered an animation degree course accessible via an entrance exam. Mixing cinema, animation, writing, art and experimentation, this three-year study programme is for students wishing to become a filmmaker in the field of contemporary creation.
